As he progressed into a DJ, he polished his skills at the boys and girls club of Newark’s DJ program under world renowned DJ LazyK. C4 then began to DJ at events such as sweet 16s and proms. By the age of 17, he was hosting his own parties across the east coast. With over 100,000 plays on his remixes and thousands of views on his dance videos, he was discovered by his mentor Donald Richardson, a member of the first R&B group ever signed to Def Jam Records.
